In accordance with the disposal ban requirements of Section 27-2611 of the Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act, on January 1st, 2015, it will become unlawful for residential households in New York State to place electronic equipment at the curb for disposal. These items cannot end up in our Landfills.
3rd Annual E-Waste Drive – Postponed
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 the the electronic recycling event scheduled to be held at the Town of Grand Island Town Hall parking lot Saturday August 8th, 9am-5pm has been postponed. When a new date is announced, we will provide updates and a new schedule as soon as one is available.
We collected over 100,000 lbs of electronics our first 2 years!
Until now, Grand Island residents had a very difficult time finding a way to recycle or Rid of their old Electronics and TV’s!
Now with Pinto Sanitation having the garbage and recycling contract, this will no longer be an issue!
Pinto Cares about our community and wants to help the residents of Grand Island recycle and properly dispose of their old Electronics, TV’s and E waste. Pinto will sponsor E waste drives each year to collect electronics and TV’s. Stay tuned for information regarding these Events. Or call our customer service at 716-775-0123
Pinto E-Waste Collection Drives will be held at the Town Hall of Grand Island. No Charge for Grand Island residents to recycle their old electronics. (With proof of residency) There will be a $50 flat rate fee for CRT (tube-type) TVs and computer monitors.
